Where Little Dreams
Find Big Possibilities!
Occupational therapy for kids is a powerful tool that nurtures their growth, development, and independence. By focusing on enhancing their physical, cognitive, sensory, and social-emotional skills, we empower children to overcome challenges and thrive in their daily lives.

Hey there! I'm Lauren, an occupational therapist originally from Waveland, MS. I've recently returned to my roots and the Gulf Coast community that I love so much. With seventeen years of experience under my belt, I've had the privilege of working with children and their families in various settings, including hospitals, schools, community clinics, and even in the comfort of their own homes.

Lauren Hoffmann, Occupational Therapist
My educational journey includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, and a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. In addition to my clinical work, I've also served as a Professor of Occupational Therapy, teaching pediatric classes and labs both online and in person.
Throughout my career, I've gained valuable experience in both outpatient and hospital-based occupational therapy, allowing me to understand the unique medical needs of children. I've had the opportunity to work in nationally ranked large children's hospitals, honing my skills in providing specialized care.
Additionally, my time working in schools with children from preschool to high school has given me a deep understanding of the evaluation and IEP process, as well as collaborating with school-based teams to support your child's development.
I am also trained in the highly regarded Handwriting Without Tears curriculum. This specialized training equips me with effective techniques to support children in developing legible and efficient handwriting skills. I am currently working towards becoming a certified instructor, allowing me to provide even more comprehensive and specialized instruction in this area.
I have been fortunate enough to work with both private therapy clients and school districts in Minnesota for the past 8 years. This experience has allowed me to provide personalized and tailored services to foster a close relationship with my clients and ensure the best possible outcomes for the children I work with. I am thrilled to bring this expertise back home to Mississippi and continue to positively impact the lives of students and their families.
My Philosophy
My goal is to help kids learn and grow through the power of play while enhancing their school performance and daily activities. By combining fun and meaningful activities with therapeutic techniques, I strive to create an engaging environment where children can reach their full potential.
Whether it's improving fine motor skills for writing or self-care tasks, enhancing sensory processing
abilities, or fostering social emotional skills, I want to give your child the tools and support they need to overcome challenges. And do it all in a joyful and meaningful environment.
It is my absolute joy and privilege to be a part of a child’s developmental journey, and I look forward to partnering with you and your family to help your child thrive and achieve their goals.

What Happy Families Say
I worked with Lauren as a special education teacher for seven years. During that time I observed that she is welcoming, engaging, and patient with students. All of my students made growth with her. I would recommend Lauren wholeheartedly.
Danesa R.
I worked with Lauren for the past 6-7 years. In that time Lauren has shown to be the most caring, thoughtful, and reliable person my students could rely on other than their normal teachers.
Luis R.
Lauren is highly skilled, great at what she does, efficient, and comes up with fun and useful activities to help special needs kids gain the skills they need to succeed. She worked with my students one on one, in small groups, and even lead activities with the whole class.
